Teaching is interesting. Kids have a lot of ideas and they want to try everything. Editing is important. Something I often find myself telling my students, is not to bury a good idea under a landslide of mediocre or bad ideas. Find your most compelling bit, and run with that. Exploit the hell out of it.
This new campaign for Morgan's Hotels is an example of the opposite. It's three ideas, two of which are complete bullshit. One of which is clever, unfortunately they didn't have the balls or the integrity to run with it. Stefan Sagmeister's famous quote is "Style = fart". This piece is 2/3 fart. Embarrassing.
